+1 those are in my truck's emergency kit.

I use them when I camp out near the trail so someone doesn't hit me at night. Also use them at pismo (hung one from the truck's flag/antenna, one on the tent on each side, and parked the truck blocking the tent from the most likely avanue of approach).

These things are kinda goofy but I think they'll work well if I ever need them. I got 2 sets, 4 things total. Called emergency chains.

Very nice list man. I have been digging through the garage and finding things to throw in my kit.

Here's my storage I have decided on for now. I have had these in my garage for 4 years, and forgot about them. Should work great though. I have 2 of them.

Yeah, mud/snow. I haven't used them yet... I figure the extra traction could come in handy someday so I just keep them in there. 2 of those on each tire and locked should be hard to stop.

Years ago we did a big snow wheeling trip with 4 Jeeps... only 1 guy had chains on and he basically became our anchor since he was the only one not getting stuck. In the spring time around here we het alot of that slushy hard stuff that you only sink in a few inches but it just has no traction available without chains, even on 35's aired down we had a hell of a time staying on the trail.

I just figure these are small and light, quick to install even if you're stuck, might as well throw 'em in the kit. PreRunners could use these in mud I'm sure.

Yeah that should be plenty. I crammed all kinds of stuff in my small container, and in the cab too.
