I had 32's on my old 97 4banger stock, no lift, and i didnt have any rubbing issues or power loss. But i am having the same dilema, 285s of 32's. right now I am running 33/10.50s with stock 15's and it rubs very little on the frame at full lock, i noticed a small power loss but not too bad oh yea its a 97 v6 with 3inch toytec lift.

I think im going to go with the 285 75 16. Ill be putting them on som 09 tacoma rims that I powder coated black. Should look real nice! either nitto terra grapplers or yokohama geolanders AT S. I had a set of yoko's on my 98 ext cab with a 3in lift and I loved them. low road noise at high speeds, very good self cleaning, great traction in GA clay, and got right at 60k out of them! What more could you ask for out of a AT tire? Ive heard good things about the terra grapplers as well but they are an extra $100 for a set. Im just not sure if they are that much better of a tire than the geolander. Anybody can chime in about the two.....

Hey tacoman101 Do you have any rubbing with a 2.5 lift? I am getting the same setup tomorrow and was wondering if I could run 285's without rubbing.

I get a little rub at full lock. Only when im parking and such. The look is significantly better with the 285's. It makes the truck look much more mean. :D. I do have 1/4" spacers from Wheelers.com that i picked up to push the tire away from the UCA a little. These were only 10 bucks and do the trick

i to am still on the fence between goin with 265/75/16, 32/10.5/15, or 285/75/16. I got 4.10 gears not sure if ill sustain a real significant mpg and power loss with the 285/75/16's. although the look of the 285s is what makes me want to go for it anyway.

Sorry, I'm new here, but Wheelers.com appears to be a building supply company. I don't think I have the right website, do I?

I just put some 265/75/16 Revo II's on my '02 Double Cab and there's some rubbing not just on full lock, but anything more than about 15 degrees - left turn only. It appears that the rub is the wheel well under where my left foot is, and not the UCA. I had no intention of lifting and I'd prefer not to, but I was looking for some sort of spacer modification if it's possible.

So do I have the right URL for Wheelers?
