The past week or so, my 2016 has had trouble starting, then finally on Friday all I got was clicks when I turned the key. I hooked it up to the battery tender this after noon until it said it was "charged", hooked the power probe up to it only to be showing 10.5v :(

    Unless i'm an idiot(entirely possible), i've got a dead-dead battery after 30k miles....

Anybody else with bad battery luck?

Corporate or local dealer? I loath my local service department.

I live in Phoenix. I've gotten used to replacing batteries about every two years. Heat murders them.

Yeah...but I live in Oregon. I drove my 2006 Scion tC until 2012 with 140k miles and never touched the battery. Maybe just bad luck?

I think it's been local service, but you could try corp if you want.

You can change it on your own and then mail the receipt in to Toyota and they will send you a check.

I change out batteries every 5 years so I don't get left sitting in the Walmart parking lot with a dead battery. Interstate Batteries have never let me down.

Next dump question, while I have you all here. Current battery says its a 24F group, everywhere online suggests 27F when you look for 2016 Taco v6. Im assuming a 27F will fit just fine, and I shouldn't worry about it?

It will if you get the bigger battery tray from a 2nd gen with the tow package. Junkyard or $30 online.

I'm going to try, but i'm betting they give me a load of crap like, "we can't cover it because you have a light bar, which cause premature failure"....its that kind of service department.

Walmart isn't a bad place to be left, they have batteries.

Toyotas are notorious for grounding issues with batteries. Try cleaning both terminals.
