    They are tied to the dome lamp. I actually spent quite a bit of time researching and tracing the circuit to get the perfect function. They will work regardless of the position your overhead dome light switch is at. They slowly illuminate upon entry(unlock or proximity), and slowly fade out when locked. :thumbsup:

    The "how to"involves flipping the switch to "ON" and watching the night sky light up:D
    But really, it would be difficult to make a "how-to" write up, as there is a lot of small detailed custom work(grinding, cutting, sanding, wiring, painting, soldering, etc etc). But if you have any other questions regarding them just let me know!

    It's funny because the only difference with the blind spot monitor mirrors is a few extra wires in the connector and a different glass that has a BSM indicator in it.
