Too many but also not enough mods
I traded in my '10 Wrangler for my '17 inferno dcsb 2 months ago and don't miss the jeep at all except or taking off panels and others people waving at you. Too many mechanical issues and was a pain to haul stuff with the soft top in the way.

How is it not a truck? Full frame and full box, solid front and rear axles make it more of a truck than 95% of current offerings. Only have to wait until October 2018 for production.

I thought long and hard about doing this, kind of killing two birds with one stone. I've had Wranglers for many years and don't ever want to be without one, but I also need a pickup at times. I had an '11 Tundra which was just too big and bloated for my needs, I hated driving it anywhere involving a parking lot, and that's almost everywhere anymore, and decided I wanted to downsize, but when the new Scrambler was rumored and then announced for '19, I thought maybe I'd sell both the Tundra and the JKUR and get one.

But.....I wanted a full 6' bed. I don't need it often, but when I do I need it pretty dang badly. And I guess I'm also kinda spoiled and like having a second (the Challenger is a garage queen and doesn't get driven from November through March here in wintry Montana) vehicle for when one is down/in-the-shop, or to loan to family/friends occasionally, plus I really like my JKUR as is, so I bought the Tacoma and haven't had a moment of regret.

I'm sure when the Scramblers show up and get wrung out for a while I'll want to take a look at them, but I suspect they'll be tough to find for a long time, will sell at a premium over MSRP (which I just will never even consider paying, no matter what, as a matter of principle), and will be expensive even after that period has passed. And they'll have a 5' bed. I will be surprised if they offer a long-bed option, and if they do it'll defeat the purpose of having a Jeep IMHO.

You sound immature :der: but a full frame and solid axels, 4x4 with a transfer case and a truck bed sounds like the definition of a truck to me

I sound immature ? Because I'm not going to argue with someone about something I really have no interest in.
Check the mirror my friend and buy your scrambler when it finally shows up.

    1) you're arguing about whether a truck is a truck
    2) read my post, I said if he likes jeep then the new scrambler would be an option

I have no interest in jeep.

    Good day

I'm not arguing. I just don't think it's a legitimate truck. It will sell to niche buyers only when it does finally come out.

Good day ? Who says " good day"? Old people that's who.

    Your old.
And I agree. It isn't a real Truck. Its a Jeep Scrambler. The J10 was a real truck. Id love to have a J10. Ive always liked them.
But, then too, Id like to have the NEW scrambler coming out that will be based on the unlimited.

Lol not quite as old as you I'm sure :). Anyway, I too like the old jeep trucks. I have a fondness for the Comanches . I own 3 two shorts and a LWB big tone.
I took my time building them. The shorts for everyday off-roading and just driving around. The big tone I built into a very capable overland/fly fishing rig.
The scrambler will be fun, and I will probably buy one also as I love Jeep. Just won't be used as a true truck.
