    It did.

And I bitch about not being where I wanna be in life a lot.

But the reality is, even though I am not in the automotive field yet like I'd like to be, all that hard work and burning the candle at both ends taught me a lot internally about myself and what "success" actually is.

I actually get commended regularly on my quick assession of situations and (almost) always making the right executive decisions. And I owe that to always being sleep deprived and having to do that and be ready to take exams all the while.

Do you think doing that much work actually improved your quality of life, or just how you view success?

Every man needs to work hard in their life. Period. It'll teach you things about yourself you would never otherwise know.

How you view success will directly affect your perceived quality of life.

If you work hard, never quit, and continue pushing to reach goals and chase dreams, in my eyes you are successful. Even if you never attained shit financially or a fancy title.

The fact I obsess so hard over the letterhead on my paychecks not being General Motors, Honda, Toyota, etc. currently makes me feel like I'm a fuck up, but I realize this is not actually the case. When I quit trying will be the day I look in the mirror and say, "you failed. You failed to keep trying."

I count the blessings I have, not the ones I don't. Or try to anyways.
