    So I'm in a bit of a bind. I started the install of my front suspension yesterday and was able to finish the driver side but was not able to do the passenger side due to the nut on the sway bar link that links to the spindle is seized to the bolt. It just free spins with the bolt. I tried a vice grip but it still free spins. If anyone wants to stop by and help out or has any tips id appreciate it. Need my truck up and running again before Tuesday. Ill post up some pics a little later today

    I think there's a place in the end of the threaded portion to stick an allen key to hold the stud while you turn the nut. Could be wrong, but most of the time there is. Also, try a 50/50 mix of ATF and Acetone (or lacquer thinner) to loosen the nut. The stuff works miracles and it's WAY better than PB blaster or even Kroil.

    Edit: you could always try taking it loose from the other end as well (if you're trying to get it loose from the LCA, try taking it loose from the swaybar instead or vice versa).

    Ended up just cutting the sway bar link off and removing the sway bar. Everything went smooth after that. Thanks for the input guys

    So...is anybody else making contingency plans to get the heck outa Dodge should Irma head your way? Oddly enough, we are and it's really the first time we've ever gotten to that stage...ever. If it heads up the west coast, we're probably going to head up to Northern VA to visit relatives. If it goes up the east coast, we'll probably stay put unless they have some sort of mandatory evac here in Tampa. Can't imagine why that would happen though.

    And it would suck having to crap in a slit trench in the back yard if the sewer was backed up because the pumps weren't running. :p But yeah, like you said, we're not terribly concerned with flooding. It's the lack of power, running water, sewer, and the possible wind damage we're hoping to avoid.

    Prep started here too. Also can't go..wifey being a trauma nurse will be on lockdown as early as Thursday, and I too have to report to work, except I am the one playing "scout" on our first response team. With the house only 12 feet above sea level, I hope that things don't get too bad....
