The Pros have been kick ass for me thus far. Big improvement over my KM2's.

Man i love Wheelers. Called me to double check order and got me squared away on the right rear bushings.

That would have sucked to come back next week and find the wrong ones.

 

They sent me a ziplock bag with some candy in it when I ordered my rack bushings a couple years ago. Been a fan ever since.

I was a bit disappointed in my candy bag this last order from Wheelers but the products were still perfect so can't dock them there i guess haha

 

I guess Cottonwood, ID ranked in the top 5 places with the worse air quality in the nation today. It looks foggy out and smells like a camp fire.

 

Even smell it here in Powell yesterday. Freaking bad. They are saying that they need it to snow/rain to make head way sucks.

no its getting worse. Summers are dryer, winters are colder.

Plus yes, funding is down big time for USFS and BLM so fire crews are short as it is.

On top of that, ive also read of reports that they can't mange forest well due to a lot of red tape by over jealous environmentalists so the timber is really bad in MT which is excessive fuel. Im not sure i believe that or not, just one thing ive seen. I do believe the forests could be managed better but they don't have the money or people to do it anyways.

Amazingly, Wy has had very few fires.

Fires are normal and should be, but with how much has burned the last few years, thats not good.

Im sure our friend Gage has more insight on this topic though.

 

Yeah fires are totally nature and needed for the forest.

I think the argument there is that the fires wouldn't get so big and out of control and threaten so much at once if the timber wasn't as bad.

Again. I don't know enough about it either. But makes sense.

 

My father In law manages about 60 million timber acres in Washington Idaho and Montana. From what he explained, funding is down but also so much red tape that the forests r waiting to explode. If the fire is over 15 acres they can't contain it and they have to let it burn until it rains or snows. The FS are useless as all they care about is people's lives so if they evacuate them then their job is done. Literally father I law this weekend was begging with them to let them bring the 5 dozers 3 excavators and 3 clippers to dig line and protect their land at their own cost. They said no lets see how it goes. Went from 225 acres to 7500 now. Also the reservation lands r managed by the tribes and there crews rarely show up or work hard here. Ben they have D10s I think is what they are now going round the clock from Missoula.

 

Well...that makes sense to me.
