    Yeah I'll be doing it one of these days. I got so much crap to do and no time to do it. Haha

    On a side note, we're building ucas and lcas for the supra that are 2" longer and have clearance for about 70° of steering angle. Lowers are done, got one of the uppers tacked together Sunday and hopefully gonna finish it tonight. Pics pending ....

    Hey guys...new to TW and just wanted to stop in and say hi and introduce myself and my rig. I'm Allen and live in Springfield TN. Drive a Silver 2014 TRD Sport. Have been slowly working on the mods to evolve it into "MY" truck...currently has a 2" frt and 1 1/2" rear level kit but since rolling on my new Falken Wildpeak 33s gonna need to go up an inch in frt for a slight rubbage concern....hopefully this week. Along the way I've added oem predator steps, tonneau cover. window tint etc. and a full led bulb swap and several other goodies and gadgets...(my wife thinks I'm loosing my mind btw.) but hey..."it's a guy thing" I tell her.     Welcome. Nice looking truck.

    More lift isn't going to help your rubbing. Only cutting, trimming, smashing whatever is in the way will fix it. Wheel specs also play a big role.

    What size are your tires? Where are you rubbing?

    I'm running 285/70/17s with 1-1/2" spacers. I've got most of the impeding plastic trimmed away and for the most part pretty clear sailing...only when I have a passenger and backing up and turning it just barely touches the right cab mount. I'm hoping the extra inch will give what I need plus increasing the positive caster a bit may do the trick. If nothing else...it has a slight forward rake and I'd prefer a more level stance. If all else fails I'll wack the snot out of the mount as last resort.

    Lifting it will give more negative caster, pushing it further into the cab mount. Sounds like a quick alignment could fix your problems. As Carter mentioned, your wheels will play a big part too. Back in the day, I ran 33x12.5s on 16x8, 4.5 backspacing wheels and trimmed only the front corner of the fender flare. With nothing changing but adding 1 1/2" wheel spacers, I then was rubbing my cab mount so bad I couldn't turn full lock. As long as you stick with stock fenders, stock wheels, stock ucas and a stock cab mount, you're gonna rub somewhere.

    Couple of questions regarding tires/wheels and clearance.

    When it's time to replace my current set, I'm thinking of going with either 34's or 35's. I know either will require some cutting and trimming. I've seen the CMC and feel I can pull it off relatively simply. I'm not sure about the fender and flare. Does anyone have photos of the process? I'm not wanting to purchase after market flares either, so making the current ones work is a must.

    Wheel size: 16" or 17"? What's everyone's preference and why? I'm thinking about going 16", as I like the plumper looking tire. Plus, I generally Air my current setup (oem wheels) down to about 18-20lbs, but feel I could get the 16's down to 12-15lbs. That may not be the case though.

    Are there caliper clearance issues with 16's?
    I know 17's are good, and nearly all good offroad tires come in 17's. When I get beadlocks, I'm going from 18's to 17's
