Been on this forum for quite a while but just stumbled into the hunting section of this... I'm still learning about my truck but this is more my kind of place lol. I'll go ahead and share some pics of some Arkansas critters.

How and why is it enjoyable to hunt and kill animals? If there was no weapon involved I could see it a sport maybe? But to go in to the animals house and sniper them unsuspectingly doesn't seem right?

I could understand also if it was a last resort for food but most hunters look like they could trim down a little?

I also could understand if an animal is a threat to human safety?

But, why not enjoy and appreciate the animal and let it live?

Because if we dont hunt and keep the populations managed they will over populate and kill themselves off because there will be no food source for the animal that is so beautiful in many peoples eyes. It is fun because you are having to outsmart the animal in its territory. People like you think we just go out in our trucks and kill deer like its nothing. Well its nothing like that when you actually hunt for the sport and your not a fucking poacher pos. It is incredibly hard to harvest a animal and there has been many times I have come home with nothing because the ANIMAL has won. People like you who dont know what you are talking about piss me off. No offense I know they are beautiful creatures and there is many times I go out to just watch them. But you have to understand we are not hurting them we are making it possible for these animals to prosper, we have game departments that give people jobs to go out and see how many of a certain animal can be harvested for greater benefits to the animal. And if you dont like hunting no one forced you to look at this thread. Just my $.02

Why come onto a hunting thread and be a tool?

As others have said, without hunters, the animals will become overpopulated and not be able to survive. So would you rather take out a few, or let them all die? It's fun because you have to try to outwit the animal and go undetected. The slightest bit of movement or scent and you have no shot. I'm sure you'll say "But those animals aren't that smart, it shouldn't be hard to outsmart them." But their senses are keen and they can see or smell you from a mile away. I'd like to see you go into the woods and try to kill a deer or a turkey. Good luck with that.

And in addition to all the other wonderful points people have made, there is one more. In the U.S., the most money contributed to wildlife conservation, other than private donations, is through the fees collected with the purchase of our hunting permits. If we didn't buy our license every year, and control the population, you wouldn't have half of these animals to look at. No species has ever gone extinct due to regulated sport hunting. Just a few thoughts to think about. And don't come into a hunting thread talking smack. It's like all the chevy and ford guys coming here asking why we drive tacos. You don't like it, don't do it. But don't give us a hard time about it.
