Hard to tell from your pictures, but did you scratch the PC off down to bare metal? Try wetting the wheel and that'll tell you if you got down to the alloy (silver). If the wheel looks all black when wet, then the scratches are just on the surface of the PC. Simple fix would be a clear coat (rattelcan) or possibly even just a coat of caranuba wax. It won't "fix" the scratches, but it'll make them almost invisible.

Zach is local to me! He actually hooked me up with the sway bar links he removed from his truck when mine started clunking! He is great guy and makes some awesome products!!!

    That sucks dude! :anonymous:

We don't have those here anymore...but we used too! They would park an SUV with the rear hatch open and a camera on a tripod underneath it on the road they wanted to do the speed enforcement on. If you were speeding you would see the flash and get the ticket in the mail a few days later, in a very similar process as yours. But someone sued saying the"photocops" violated their constitutional right to confront their accuser and won! Maybe you can sue and create case law in Maryland!

If you know how to cut and polish, then I'd say go for it. Most people don't actually know how to go through the process of a true cut and polish and usually end up messing things up more than they were before starting. PC by nature of the finish tends to have better adhesion than paint, but the surface is more susceptible to fine scratches like what you have. It'll buff pretty easily if done right, but keep in mind it can and will happen again, but that's just the nature of the coating. If you're one of those "I-want-it-to-look-as-good-as-it-can-for-a-while-but-I-know-it'll-get-beat-up" kind of guys (like me) then a quick spray of clear will do you just fine. If you're more of a wash-and-wax-every-weekend kind of guy, try to polish them out. Up to you- work vs. reward.

yup, that's me to a T haha I wash it once a week for but I don't wax it every time. twice a year for sure and maybe more if I'm in the mood. once before winter and once after winter is good enough tho. I hear what ur saying about the cutting and what not. the products I listed above says you can apply it by hand, you think I could do any harm if I'm just using a micro fiber cloth and applying them by hand?

I remember watching that Mythbusters thing awhile ago. I'll just slow down from now on :frusty: Worst part is it was to go camping/wheeling. It was when I was running behind to meet David and John at sheetz so I was hurrying, and got caught doing 48 in a 35. Lame part is it's a huge road and 3 lanes wide, so it feels like a 45.

Should be fine, but it won't be a true cut-and-buff. Unless you have triceps like Arnold.

It was in MD. It was right around the corner from my house as I had just got gas and was hurrying to hit the highway. Saw the camera flash, checked my speedometer and immediately knew I'd eventually get a ticket.

Where's that?? And what is the event?
    :annoyed:

Little late but I'd say wash it good and try some armor all or pledge on it. It won't repair but will make them close to invisible.

Thats a bummer I hope you'll find a solution that work!

time difference might be affecting this too.

On the other hand, I will be calling Billy with Bruteforcefab when I get off work to pick his brain about some things.. my super secret things that are building in my mind. Oh and told someone else that I am interested in something else.. but that will be revealed later
