If it doesnt, you can put 2x8s in the slats and have it lay above the wheel wells.

 

Why not just get a ground tent? I have the 3 person version of this and it does really well, and you can fit a queen air mattress in there. Very easy to pitch too.

And since it's a one time thing, this little sleeping pad works great for $8. Just don't expect to blow it up manually. I used my air compressor to fill it up.

Haha yea it's low... but he has a decent suspension setup on it. So Hopefully the ride isn't too bad.

And yea someone selling a car out from under you...that's a risk you take when you buy a car on Craigslist... we will see how it plays out

 

What is the width between the wheel wells? A twin mattress should be 38" wide.

If you thought you broke your wrist with the .44 Mag. I've got a .500 Smith & Wesson Magnum you can shoot. Makes the .44 feel like a .22

So a twin matress should fit. Its 43" inside the wheel well and like 74" to the edge of the tailgate.

 

Its down the street from me so I shoot there regularly. Hit me up if you're ever around this way and want to go.
Maybe this fall we can finally make a range meet happen. Possibly at the cove or if anyone has some land we can use.

 

Memory foam 3 in trim to fit or 2x8 with 3/4 plywood carpeted and mattress on top but not a lot of headroom. Easiest is two sleeping mats pads and bags. Is it just you or a lady friend as well? Short bed is short unless you sleep fetal position or corner to corner depending on how tall you are.
