    Same but different.

Fire zones being blocked is a huge problem and liability. Just cuz everyone else does it doesn't make it okay.

People who park in red zones should be towed. It isn't a loading zone. It's a public safety issue.

Sooo you parked in a red, got towed and blame the HOA? thats a federal law lol. If everyone else jumped off a bridge would you?

I love my HOA and my wife and I will never live anywhere that doesn't have one. Its an assurance that the neighborhood is well-kept and respected.

    Check out the build
I'm on the opposite boat with HOA. Looking to buy a home and I will never buy a house in one.

I also don't like the idea that I have to pay in addition to owning a house to follow someone else's rules. I've realized you never really own property and HOA's make it worse.

Shitty but you can't expect security to only stake out your house lol.

FWIW, breaking into vehicles is a crime of opportunity. people breaking into cars drive around better neighborhoods looking for opportunity. hide your valuables or take them with you inside. also, check out security lights and cameras. well-lit areas with visible methods of security act as a deterrent.

This is why most Discovery Bay HOAs are defunct. They would have similar childishness when dealing with projects submitted to our department and the neighborhoods ended up ditching them (IIRC)

I guess it all depends on the HOA. Ours is cheap and includes our cable and access to our huge mansion-like club house that has 3 pools among other things. only thing they enforce for property is that yards are well-kept, which is too easy.

Probably monitoring somewhere else. Or maybe you told them to fuck off?

Security doesn't stop theft anymore than law enforcement stops crimes.

Right place at the right time has its counterpart - wrong place, wrong time. Everybody gets a turn sooner or later.

Sucks, but unless I'm paying for private security then inevitably I'm sharing the risk with everyone else.

One of these on the front porch, getting another 2 for the front of the garage, Can set motion sensitivity and tones and such. Can also yell at people through the speaker. Had to yell at bug spray guy that came back 3 days in a row (after I spoke with him for about 10 minutes the first day and told him I wasn't interested and he told me it was a 1 day only deal and he wouldn't be back) while I was at work.

LOL what. Already had one truck broken in to, just taking precautions now. Especially with break ins and a robbery in the neighborhood.

My neighborhood only has birds. :notsure:

To be fair, they did try to steal gas from a few cars here a couple weeks ago.
