I have my moments, but I don't think that was one of them.

 

I had to, but I made a poor rim choice. Those steel 5-spoke 2nd gen rims have a lot of positive offset. Something like 35 if I remember correctly. Couldn't even get the wheel on.

With my factory alloy (16x7 +15) I'd be a little less than .5" closer to the suspension.

 

Exactly the reason why I have three dogs. Granted, they're all pussies when push comes to shove. I doubt any crook is going to find out for himself.

How thick of spacer? Ordered tires and Bora 1.5" hub centric spacers. Looked up and everything said "atleast" 1.25"

 

Stock OR wheels have a 5.25" backspace. Got these for $200. 4.625" BS. Not sure if that would be enough for 285's.



@BudMan was running the Trail team TRD wheels that have the same offset, but are 7.5" wide. If those clear without spacers then these will. The style isn't for everyone though.

Edit: @Goobersbro is running stock OR wheels with 285's. He should know the spacer size.

1.5. I still rub a tiny bit on the frame at full lock turning left I think. The spacers put my offset at around -6.

I picked up a set of these last week for $150. Been waiting for a long time to get a good deal. Best looking 16" Toyota rim in my book.
