hate my dead end worthless job..Been talking to a buddy who went to wyotech and he loved it. I got into a real good conversation with him tonight about it, and I really think I may do this:D My gf is going to go with me if I go, and shes looking into nursing schools out there and theres a supposed real good school not far from Wyotech, bad thing is her school is 22 months..Mine is 9:( so I either need to pick up more classes there, or get a job..haha

Only downside, is the closest campus is 6 hours away, just to go LOOK at the school first.

Has anyone else gone to wyotech? thoughts?

My sister-n-law is a Neonatal Nurse and she makes a bundle of money so this could be a very good move for your GF. For your move, sorry I have no input. Best of luck to you WJ on your decision.

A buddy of mine went to HiTech Institiute (I believe that's the name) kinda like Wyotech I believe. He's jet mechanic and travels the world now. He loves it. Last time I talked to him he just got back from Germany. He makes BANK....has a condo in Miami now. Not bad for a guy from our podunk shithole town.

So how do you plan to pay for the move, tuition, living expenses?

Hmm, guess I should have elaborated a bit more..

The move isnt bad, as Ill be driving out there with my truck. Once enrolled in school, they set you up with a financial person from the school to help you. If you take a loan out through the school, they give you XXX amount of money a month for living expenses, which you have to pay back after graduation as part of the loan. If I do wind up staying out there for 22 months for my gf to finish school, Ill have to get a job obviously.

I think I can work this out, seeing as you can take night classes(9pm-2AM)..come home and sleep for a few hours, then go to work.;)

i always talk to the matco guy and the snap on guy. they both say local body shops are always busy. the only thing i don't like is when they send a crashed car with electrical problems. but then again who else are they gonna take it to.

Well good luck to you. From what I've always heard Wyotech is a good school. Just wish I would have figured out what I wanted to do by 23. Hell I still don't know what I want to do.

This thread a little old but I went to Lincoln Tech in Indianapolis,In for diesel tech. To me wyotech is more expensive and has the same thing that they did. With that said Uti also has he same stuff and cheaper the lincoln tech. The schools re just building blocks for you, the real expiernce comes from hands on, so dont get in lost in debt if you do not have to. I local community college would be the same, its your desire that makes you good.

Yeah, I just realized that. Being from Laramie you hear the word "WYOTECH" and you just jump to an assumption that people are talking about Laramie.

    Anyway, best of luck!

Even though I'd love to see some more of the country, I'm really not looking forward to the 6hr drive to this campus.;)
