    Hi,
Does anyone know you hook up a aftermarket tac-wire for a 1997 Toyota Tacoma?

What motor do you have? There's a black wire on the back of the instrument cluster that should be the tach signal.

It was green on my 1996, but yeah, you can tap one of the wires behind the cluster for a tach signal. I don't have a clock so I also used the clock power and dim wires.
