I am actually tempted to an absolute black oval ring next! Not sure it it will make any difference as I have not ridden one. Thanks for the advice it looks very cool on your setup!!

Oval rings are nice, I run one on my single speed. Is not a huge difference but if your in tune with your bike you can tell it helps

Thanks.....actually IIRC, the ring I got says absolute oval on the edge of those spokes somewhere but it isn't oval....like they made that ring for SRAM or something. I'll check it out tonight. I did consider an oval but just went with the one I found that was about $25 cheaper than the rest of the same ones I was seeing with 3 degree for boost and 32t. Weighs like half of what that steel one weighs.

This Scattante is my new favorite since it saved my noodle from some serious damage. I wish I had this on my ribs too.

Just finished up a 5000 miles road trip this past week. Weighed my truck and with all the gear and two adult males the truck weighed about 6000 pounds, averaging 13.5 MPG. Tennessee -> Wyoming -> Idaho -> Colorado and back to Tennessee. Finally happy with my bike set-up, too! Resized_20170904_141537.jpg

I use the Giro switchblade, it's a great helmet you can run it full face or remove the chin protector. I also have the bell super 2 but it's not comfortable it doesn't fit my head right

I bought a Bell Stoker the other day. Seems to fit good so far. I'm hoping to take it out riding this weekend or next to see how it feels for a longer period of time. I read good reviews about it so I'll see what happens.

    Yeah.
Yep, that's the one. Kinda ruins my Johnny Crash all-black stable, but oh well. My Stache 9 is a size too small for me (18.5), but even so I have enjoyed it. Tried to get a 19.5 last year but they ran out. I think they have too many now -- this one just came out and they gave it to me for 10% off of MSRP. I usually ask for 15% off, probably should have!

If anyone needs a lightly used (385 miles total) 2015 Stache 9, size 18.5, hit me up.

Yep, My Remedy is a beast! Take it to the bike park and put crazy miles in on trail as well. It conquers whatever I throw at it.

Bought mine from some chick on a bike forum who rides/races/works at shop. Got it for her boyfriend and MTB just wasn't his thing so I scored for little over half price. Frame is 21.5" and makes the whole thing feel oversize, not just the tires, lol. Trek site says 21.5 is for 6'1" - 6'5" and I am 6' so I'll manage. It rides really good for it's size. I don't feel it is too big. Looks like the 2018 Stache 7 is matte gray has switched to shimano with raceface cranks and dropper post. Might look better in the stable and save ya a few bucks............

    Yeah.
She probably still made some money off of it if she works at a shop, markup on bikes is crazy. But good deal for you! I am 5'11", so just outside the range for a 18.5, but it felt OK during the test ride. After riding it a bit it was obvious it was a little small for me (knees getting a bit close to the handlebars on switchbacks), but not terribly off. I prefer SRAM shifting these days on my bikes that take a beating, I really want the Pike fork, and color is not really a big deal for me (as long as it's not purple), so the 9.7 it is.
