negative. it was just the spider gears that messed up, locker replaces those. ring and pinion stayed the same.

Ohhhh 10-4. Im going with a froze up u joint. The only way u can check if its froze is to take your driveshaft off and try to move it. Driveshaft only takes a few mins to take off. Make everything really well so u can put it back in the EXACT same location.

Was playing around on Ventusky and looks like there may be another disturbance pop up behind Jose next weekend. Way too far out to know if it will build up into anything but still kind of scary to think of 3-4 in this short time frame.

@BAMATOY The MasterPro CV's are remanufactured. I'm not afraid of using them. The key thing is they are not Chinese junk.

@stronghammer, take off vibes are drive angle generally. Vibe and noise could be u-joint, could be wheel bearing. My vibration was felt at a certain speed, but using my GoPro showed it was really there the whole time. I had play in my driveshaft when checked properly. Don't you have a CV boot that was ripped? Could be CV.

I can't remember if it was ripped or not? I remember us finding all of the grease in the wheel well from it lol and I've never done anything about it, it functions so why would I? That was literally like the first meet at your house I came to...

If the takeoff shudder is drive angle why would it just happen recently?

Maybe this is a dumb question, but to those of you who have lifetime or an "x" number of years alignment service. Are they for the lifetime of the tires on the vehicle or lifetime of the vehicle itself?

Firestone alignment for life of vehicle, not tire dependent. I buy tires elsewhere. they hate to see me coming. never bought anything from them. just the alignments :D

You indicated it has been for a while now. Your rear leaf springs can help control axle wrap. As they have gotten worn in, you could feeling it now when you weren't before. A heavy load on the truck, could have helped tip the scale (Moab).

Same for me Jimbo. First alignment on my truck was done at Firestone. Been going 7 years, still free on the truck. I expect another 7 years.

well by a while I meant a month or so. it doesn't feel like axle wrap, I had that with my spacer lift before my Kings/Dakars.

Have they tried to give any of y'all grief for needing alignments due to changes in suspension setup?

not too bad, they dont do major caster adjustments, but get it back in line good enough for good tire wear.

No problem at all. The will not adjust my alignment with my UCA's, but they will do an alignment the normal way on the LCA. I've paid for an alignment at another place so I could have the bottom set where I wanted them and the alignment done with the uppers. Now that it is where I want, I'll let firestone do them again.
