No, she was just saying that to get usaa insurance she needed to be with a military person, hence Ryan would need to join.

Or if my mom joins, I could join as her father is retired navy. The child of a military member can join. Once she joins, I can piggy back. I'll tell my mama to get USAA and I'll pay her for it. Sure, I need more checking accounts. Lol.

If I remember correctly, the military person needs to be a usaa member in order for their children and their children to join.

Yea, oven fired a few days ago but still needed a few minor things for the booth. I was looking at powder options for my wheels.

Huh. I priced out USAA for my insurance, but I got a way better deal with Farmers. Been with them for six years now.

Yea I've seen some stuff online of people going down sandy roads and such to cool little canyons and spots. Just don't think it's on the right side of the lake for me

Yeah, just for fun, went and tried a USAA quote again, Farmers is still $230 less. I do have life and home bundled with them, but I can't imagine it makes that much of a difference.

We have a few people interested in powdercoating wheels. Maybe I should get a thread started

@Aw9d @4Running Daily @Rextinkleton93 and see if we can do a wheel run when we get it all figured out.

The bundling makes a major difference. Most laws covering insurances make the actual rate and discounts one company can offer to be the same as any other company. So they "save" you money by finding the discounts another company may have missed. If you are just comparing two companies, with the same discounts, for the same vehicle, at the same address, they will be almost identical.

However, they can save you more by bundling or for having other accounts (ie checking, saving, home, etc). The bundling discount isn't as regulated as other discounts.

I called Gieco a couple of years ago and got a quote for the full bundle and they couldn't touch USAA, because I have my checking, savings, stocks, etc with USAA.

It is worth shopping around every few years, but you really have to talk to someone and get the best quote and make sure you are comparing apples to apples.

When I got my EVOC driving cert, the instructor told everyone to call their insurance to get an extra discount, except USAA because they are already so low.
