I got one within the last year and it's not even a speeding ticket, it's a "civil fine" for speeding or something

also in my experience the threshold for getting a pretty picture of your truck in the mail is 10+ mph over (it was listed on the one they mailed me), slow down

(do as I say not as I do, it was special circumstances :luvya:)

Back in 2006 I got a speeding ticket in Parker, paid the fine online. Cool, great, all is good. About a year and a half later I was pulled over for my license plate lights being out (stupid electrical VW problems, surprise surprise) The officer said my license was suspended and I had a warrant out for the unpaid speeding ticket. Whaaat...? The officer gracefully never arrested me, let me park my car back at my house since I was right down the street and only took my license. I called the Douglas County Court and they said I never paid the speeding ticket. I assured them I paid it online, went back through my bank statements and sure enough it was paid. I had to show up in court with my proof I paid the ticket, so they cleared my warrant and reinstated my license. However, I had to pay the court fees and since it had been "technically over a year without a license" I had to pay a fine to reinstate my license PLUS, retake the written exam AND driving test. I actually drove to the DMV to take the exams haha. The fines ended up being just as much as the original ticket.. talk about snaking money

This is why I cringed with all the ignore the ticket, it must be served in person. Worst way ever to find out you were given bad info regarding courts/ police is to get arrested your next run in.

If you're gonna speed, or run red lights, hide your face. They have to get a clear pic of the person the vehicle is registered too. If they can't prove it's you, the ticket will automatically be tossed.

lol- I am used to the German way, where you show up in court to pay it or with the person who was driving your car. Guess this is one advantage to having more Lawyers then the rest of the world combined.

 Where we used to live in centeral FL hurricanes were rain days. Everyone "had to get a generator" and 2 months later try to sell them.

All seriousness the in-laws are on a cruse ship that was supposed to be porting in Miami Sunday, so there gonna get a nice extension

Maybe next time they'll listen and come visit out here
