I'm a man of my word. One of us was going to owe the other money. I have a constant reminder on my truck I owe you some cash.

Got a few more things done one the truck for the trip to TN this week.

My @Mobtown Offroad skids got installed late last night in time for ATR next weekend!

    20170827_012807.jpg

Bed stiffeners are installed. Love the tie down spots they provide and I was also able to leave the bed's d-rings out and repurpose them by using a reg bolt that was provided. Best pics I could get since it was dark before I remembered to take the pics.
    20170827_202528.jpg 20170827_202550.jpg

Re purposed the beds D-Rings and added them to the backseats seat belt bolts for Teq's lead across the backseat. Thanks to the lead ideal from @hoarder23's setup. Knots were added to keep the pup from trying to jump out the window. Little guy is fearless sometimes.(the lead will be on top of his hammock thats being washed and having additional tie downs added so he hopefully cant get under it.)

Finally not truck related Teq has destroyed his first stuffed animal that the rescue gave me from his litters kennel. RIP donkey, Teq loved tearing you apart.
    20170821_221205.jpg
Now I just gotta load up on tues/wedn night and head to TN. Hopefully I"ll be ready on tues and can hit the road after work on wedn.

Had a great time at ATR over the weekend. Weather wasnt the best but we made the best of it. Got stuck once in the mud up hill in a really rutted out section. Had to use the winch to pull my truck up the last 5 ft. No damage to the truck that I have found so far but the truck only got a quick spray down when I left and is still pretty dirty. Only took a few pics but here they are.

@ETXTacoma and myself at the look out.

Teq lookin cute for a pic at the windmills.

A view out of the country side.

A group of us at the lookout. I already forgot most of everyones names but the only 2 I remember are @G.T. @ETXTacoma. If you guys remember others I can edit to tag them.

Quick shots of the mud before it got a quick spray down to air up and head home.

Teq chillin on the ride home.

It was great that you could make it out. Hope you had a good time overall and the weather was not to much of an issue. It could have made things better as far as trails go, I know I would not have lost a tire and all that and we could have explored more and done some more rocky stuff.

There is always next year though!

Thanks for telling me about ATR. I had a good time regardless of the weather. Not sure I'll make next year because I want to plan a big trip out west. We will see though cause it was great spending some time in TN again. Hadn't been there in like 15 yrs.

Yea, same here, would like to get to Colorado and Moab next year, so ATR may be cut from the schedule.

As long as I don't miss Jambo, then I am usually pretty good!

Thats for sure. CO is easy to plan a long weekend to pull off but Moab def needs a more time due to the extra distance if you include CO in the same trip. Jambo is hard to not go to since its so close, even if I have to miss the first day.

Yep true, if I go to CO and Moab, I want to do a full week off from work so I can leave on a Friday and return the next Sunday or something.

Jambo is pretty easy for me to plan since it is only 45 minutes from me. Just have to take off the two days for it.

I noticed that you mentioned for future mods that you're looking at throwing on 285s. Do you think they will fit with the OME lift kit? I'm on the fence of deciding between doing Bilstein 5100s with OME 888s (or 886s) or OME Lift Kit (Nitrocharger 90000) with OME 888s (or 886s). I'm also trying to keep the truck as DD ready as possible but still need to support the offroad, overlanding, RTT trips. Have you enjoyed the 886s and OME kit?

285's should fit but will probably require the CMC to prevent rub. I have the LR UCA's so when I go up I can move my caster farther forward and trim the front fender to help with clearance issues. I've been thinking and I may go 295 next instead of 285. From what I know the Bilstein vs the OME is pretty comparable. Both seem to be good lower cost options. From what Head strong told me the Bilsteins will ride softer than the OME 9000 but harder than the 9006's. I went 886's because I wanted a stiff ride knowing I would never meet the weight recommendations. It may have been smarter to go 888's/887's for a little softer ride.

Thanks! Definitely post some pics if you decide to go to 295s! I'm still on the fence whether I just want to stick with a 265 (would want to upgrade from my 265/70/16) or if I want to take a chance on 285s, knowing that it might require further mods to make them work properly. Thanks for the info!

I will but I dont plan on buying tires till next year sometime. Have a lot of life left on the current 265 Ko2's and cant spare the money with wanting other items more. From what I read it sounds like you can run a 255/85r16 with no rubing.

I'm really looking at the sos slimline bumper. Did you ever wish you had a full bumper though ? That's my only worry if a regret not just getting the full front bumper. Sos slimline or Cbi. Your setup looks awesome btw I also have a full set of mobtown skids.

Thanks. As of now I don't have any regrets with the slimline. I may end up regretting not going to a full front when I add a hc rear with swing out next year. I think sso just opened another GB on the one I have.

Yea so when all said and done we may have very close looking trucks ha ha. I'm tracking the group buy very closely. swing out bumper will look great down the line.

It will, i'm just afraid the front will look to "light" without a full bumper. I'll decide after I add the rear, for now I love the look and usefulness of the slimline.
