Thats a good job to have. Where I work we build outboard motors. I set up all the tooling for the CNC and sharpen the cutters that cut gears. A few years ago I got to play around with Master Cam. lot of fun. Wish I could still do it

    It's a fluid pump impeller.

Here's another one with a splitter between the main blades.

    Yeah,... no

There's a +0.005/-0.000 tolerance on the hole, it's drilled at an angle relative to bore of the part and it's made of 17-4 Stainless.

Won't fit inside the part, the bore is 0.625 with a tight tolerance as well, can't risk any dingle berry marks on the part.

    Actually....

When your out to sea and the nearest Land Bears are 1 mile straight down not going to find a bearing oven big enough to heat an impeller to get it on the pump shaft. Enter torch and CO2 bottle. Heat the impeller with the torch keeping it moving and hit the shaft with CO2 to freeze it. One man stands by to wipe the frost off the shaft as fast as he can and 2-3 others take the hot ass impeller and slap it on aligning the keyhole on the way in. Then big ass ranger bob is standing by with a sledge to help just in case with blocks of wood ready to go in between the impeller and head of the 20 pound sledge. That is some pretty hi tech shit right there I'm telling you. Timing is everything. And if you don't get it right the first time there usually isn't a second time.

These kids actually eat fruits and vegetables and meat! So weird! But we do have all the fun stuff for them too. We haven't had little kids in the house in a long time. They are pretty good kids. The dogs are mothering them well. Each dog picked out their own kid...pits are so funny.
