    Cut the red wire so u can add the male connector to the red wire going to the topper.
    The female connector coming from the brake light.

    Yeah I had the connections wrong. I got it to flash the first time and second time it's pressed then it doesn't flash again. If I wait a few minutes same thing happens. Flashes one round maybe two then doesn't do it again.

    I found if u have it on slow. And hit the brakes it works. But if u do it right away it doesn't. But want 3 to 4 secs and it works again. But on fast it works right away after u hit the brakes. And back on again without a delay.

    I had it on fast and my issue was that it wouldn't continue to work after the first round of flashing.

    Just finished this mod, very happy with the results. But I do have a question. After hooking everything up I have the blue wire and white wire unconnected from the flasher. Should these be connected to anything? My truck is an 09 Access Cab. Thanks

    If blue and white is disconnected that means u have it set to blink slow. Put them together and it blinks fast.

    Test flasher operation before re-assembly. To change flasher speed, either connect or disconnect the blue/white wire on the flasher unit. Blue/white connected is fast, disconnected is slow.
