Got the rack and tent back on liking the look of the truck so far though.



Got a CBI single Jerry can mount. Just have to figure out how/where to mount it now. The mount will fit in this spot if I cut/grind the little tie down rings off. Then figured I can just weld it in place this weekend. Any other suggestions?

If you mount it there get a super-siphon, 8$ at home depot. I keep mine in a plastic ammo box to prevent fumes etc. Get the siphon running and sit back while 5 gallons drops into your tank, ez.....

 

Two in the rail + 3 of the cubby screws.

 

Gas can CARB spouts are only good for ruining shoes.

 

Don't know if it's worth $12k, but it's one clean 1st gen 4Runner.

Also anyone watching The Lowe Files? I’m a sucker for these types of shows. Pretty cool to see Rob Lowe as a normal person and get to do this with his two sons is pretty badass. A&E show where they go explore folk lore and ghost and weird anomalies. I recommend checking it out.

 

It's hard to say. It has a lot going for it. I'd be inclined to throw it on eBay with a reserve just to test the waters. Could be some Toyota nutters out there willing pay top dollar for collector-quality 1st gen 4runners.

To be honest, I wouldn't regret paying that. I think it's pretty cool.
