Mods here like to be real gray about things I've noticed.

As much as it pains me to do so, I've decided to totally avoid 3rd gen threads.... Most of those cats cannot stand any teasing or the normal comments that we tend to make when someone says something goofy/stupid. It's my observation that about 75% of the 3rd gen guys are new to the hobby. They brought a lot of new blood to the site. I guess the mods choose to protect their delicate little ego's. Only a few strong willed individuals with 3rd gens could hack it in any of the Kentucky/Ohio/Tennessee group threads or group outings from what I see.

Tried to order OME leaf springs yesterday and found out they're on back order until end of October.
Where have you guys ordered from for OME Leaf springs?

Also, I Have 340 lbs for the habitat plus typically another few hundred lbs of camping stuff, etc. Should I get the extra leaf?

You'll have to let me know how you like everything. Super jealous.

I understand the protection. I also, want the hobby to grow.

But test levels increase under stress and wheeling can make you stress a little. "Fuck it, I'm taking the middle." is the attitude you'll develop.

If I was to pick any one thing that's most important to being successful off the road, it would be learning to pick a good line.....I've seen too many people point and shoot.....straight through a mud hole or a hill....It takes a mixture of choosing the best traction available, AND learning how to use the steering wheel.

And having tires that reach the ground.....:D:rolleyes:

    Dihk! HAHA!

When we went to the right, which how we got through. It was still deep and off camber, muddy too. Had to find dead wood and stuff under pass rear tire to get up out of it. Brandon made it look easy after I got those logs in there for him

Yeah Looking for the HD Dakars, but doubt I will get them before my trip, so I'll just order when I get back anyway. No worries. Just mostly wondering which vendors work well with us for the Cincinnati area.

(VERY) Remote chance we may show up....Most likely won't though. Wifey says I've spent my allowance for the next 27 years over the past month. No point in going if I can't buy anything. :pout:
