    Went to the dunkie's in westford near my work to grab a coffee and as I was ordering I saw a group of high schoolers hanging around my truck and one of them was leaning up against it like he owned the thing while others were touching the ditch light pods moving them around. Scared the shit out of them when I set the alarm off - a westford cop was in line behind me and said he has trouble with the high school kids all the time. Little pricks don't need to learn respect.

    So a few weeks ago I had the windshield on my truck replaced. Tech came out, swapped the windshield, boogered the headliner, left. Very next day in a heavy rainstorm came out and the truck wouldn't start, then the headlights wouldn't work correctly. Drop it off at Ford, they keep it for 10 days trying to figure out the problem, and eventually they replace the alarm module and headlight switch. Problem solved; been driving it for the last week with no issues. Last night it rained, and I didn't park the truck in the garage because I have the '69 in there right now. Got in the truck this morning to go to work, and the first sharp left-hand turn I make it sounds like somebody dumping a bucket of water out onto my passenger side footwell (because that's basically what happened). Turns out the moron tech that installed the windshield didn't seal it correctly, apparently. Must have been 1/2 gallon of water sloshing around in the footwell before it drained.

    So I'm calling the glass company today to tell them how thrilled I am with their service. Again. Some more.

    If anybody ever needs a windshield replaced, don't use Downeast Glass.

    I'm really excited for the conversation I'm going to have with the glass company, since all I want to do is yell at them until their head explodes. But I work in customer service and so I know how much it sucks to get yelled at for something that you had nothing to do with, so I don't want to be that guy. :rolleyes:

    generally how I lead off with stuff. be nice but firm about it. and if they refuse to address it then come down hard. I hate being an asshole, but will if need be. I've been having a 4 week argument with the Toyota dealer on how a clutch pedal assembly shouldn't "croak" every time you press it, and how a transmission shouldn't lock up going into reverse. So finally got them to get a Toyota Rep to come out today to take a look at it

    I'm going to have a hard time not blowing up on them, honestly. Their tech's inattention to detail has led to one problem after another for the last 3 weeks now. Time missed at work, lost productivity on my personal time, time spent paying for but not driving my truck, the headaches of dealing with it...
    Frustrating.

    That's generally what my tact is for situations like that. Give them the opportunity to do the right thing, but if they even look like they're going to be uncooperative, I go full pissed off customer in a hurry!

    Yeah, I'm starting to think and plan out alternate honeymoon options. I'm not concerned about losing my money on this trip (other than airfare) because it's a Sandals resort so I know they will be accommodating in various ways. But I am pissed that the money we budgeted and spent on our honeymoon is tied up with that trip. So anything will do will be an additional unbudgeted expense.

    Oh well, not the end of the world for us. The people living there though, this could be life altering for them.
