Hello everyone, just wanted to ask some advice here about an issue I been having before I take it to the stealership...Every so often when i start the taco on a cold start when I turn the key it sounds like it bairly wants to start, but it always did, it just turns over very slowly, then its fine. But if you start it again right after that, or a while later its fine. Today was the worst of it. I got in the truck, turned the key, heard it try to start and nothing, did it again, nothing, took about 4 or 5 times till it actually started. I am not sure what this is, I mean first thing that comes to mind is the battery, But i have an 09 (disregard my username, I got a new truck) and its used everyday, and i drive a lot, about 100 miles a day. So i would think the battery would be charged enough, unless its not holding? well, i figured I would just take it to the dealer next week, but god only knows if they will find something since I cannot duplicate it everytime. Just wanted to know what you all think first.

    Thanks in advance!

This is very common. There are a few threads relating to this. Happened to me once.

Sorry if I am asking something that has been posted before, But what was the issue found? I really do not know what to search, is there a recall or TSB or fix?

I don't have an answer for you, but didn't mean any offense with my first post.

No, it was not offensive at all. I just searched the forum, actually came up with people with similar issues, but NO FIX? how on earth could so many have this issuse and no one know what it is to fix it? I wonder what the dealer will say, probably nothing like usual.

there is a tsb for this it is called intermitent no start. you can take it into the dealership and they will reflash the computer. if it happens again try turning the key off then back on it should start.

I thought from reading the TSB is only for 05-07 models? is there a new one?

    Thanks

Its starting to get on my nerves. My truck is a 09 DC 4x4 and Ive had it only for around 5 months. I park it in my garage and every so often, it has a difficult time starting. Its starting to occur more now. I guess Ill bring it in to see what the dealership says. Ill keep you informed.
