It's been quite a few years, but I'm back with a new Tacoma!

Right now, it's stock and sitting at the dealership. Paperwork is signed and I pick it up tomorrow!!!

Already have a few minor things on order and I'll post more when I get it installed...

Man I love this color (and so did the wife and kids)!

    Today I went from this:

    To this:

MB 352's (really liked the SCS Ray 10's but never caught it at the right time). All together with new lugs, TPMS swapped out and mounted balanced etc from Discount Tire was $450, after their Labor Day mail in rebates. really like the look it gave and have zero buyers remorse.

styk - I'm not sure who makes them, but they are a dealer installed option called "predator step tubes"

I wish I had gotten the Predators instead of the Tubes. I would have had to wait another week for the truck to be outfitted with them and I was too impatient. The dealer installed tubes are nice but they are too close to the cab for my taste. They almost look like they could protect the truck like rock rails but I believe they are bolted to the body, not the frame. Oh well.

I had Lund nerf bars on my last truck, and agree that they are pretty close. The predator steps are great for my wife and kids to get in and out. like you said though, these too are bolted on to the body, not the frame like true sliders.

Yea, my wife uses them but because they are so close if I use them (the tube step) then I am crouching to get into the cab, and I am not very tall. I will likely try to swap them with another member if possible or just sell them and put the Predators or another brand on.

Actually, if I were the off-roading type, then rails would be my go to. I also saw some NFAB steps that look like the predators but the step part comes off so you don't knock them off off-roading. They call them RKR Rails but I think these bolt to the body as well. They are under 600 bucks so not cheap but also not very expensive for the versatility.

    Here they are: http://www.n-fab.com/products/sfID1/227/sfID2/106/sfID3/197/productID/1318

Might be what I eventually go to.......

FYI, don't rip the corner of your bumper off, it's about $1800 to fix o_O

Unfortunately, it riped the wire harness out of the back of the truck and I kind of need that!

I may be wrong but I think some come with new wiring......obviously, those would cost more.

Sure! It didn't look half bad with the bungee cord holding it in place while I waited for my part
