The tune takes effect instantly. The "learning" is just the ecu adapting ignition maps and shifting to match your driving style. OV did limit these maps from 16 to 10 on this version. No need for rlashing, those who were did it just cause they liked the way the truck responded right after a flash. I never did this and I still enjoyed 1.01. I'm really excited to try1.02 and have no intention of reflashing until OV released a new update

Thank you, I did see the maps were reduced to 10. I'm sure thats a big difference. I'm happy to hear you didn't feel the need for to re-flash after the learning was done.

Flashed it, turned on the ignition and next thing I knew my garage was empty and I could see my truck ascending into the stratosphere at lightning speed. Shame, I was really starting to enjoy that truck w/ the tunes....

    (no, no 1.02 yet...)

Smart though - much easier to start out with data logging on a small sample size to work out any potential kinks before blasting to the entire user-base

Has anyone tried out the Crawl Control after doing the flash? Does it operate the same (as far as throttle response in maintaining speed, etc)?

nobody has logger yet, i'm still adding some other important PIDs. I want to watch all these misfires these trucks have on the logger.

You only need the OEM calibration update if your ECU is 04B01.

04B02 can be converted to 04B03, and 04B03 is the most up to date version.

manual guys there are 04B10 / B11 / B12 but you don't need to udpate any of them.

Going in Monday for 20,000 mile service.
Truck was bought Jan 2016 and had a tsb for the trans flashed in August 2016. Going to get the latest calibration update while I'm there just to be sure.

And for this, I am thankful. Took my truck into the dealer for 20k service yesterday and mentioned them but of course the stock response is "no codes, no problem" My misfires seem to be a little less frequent since the tune in that there are occasionally trips where I don't log any. But most of the time I can see between 2-8 misfires recorded generally within the first 5-10mins of driving when started cold. Based on what I recall from the field service manual, CEL won't trigger unless there are more than 35 misfires in a single ~100 revolution cycle.

Once warm I very rarely see any logged... so it's (my nontechnical explanation) like it's cutting fuel until the cats are heated to reduce emissions or something and thus causing a misfire.

Apparently I have the old version of the transmission software. I called the dealer, and they wanted me to describe the problems I'm having. I've already done this once, to find the fluid was low. How are y'all getting the dealerships to update the files? I don't understand why people have to complain before getting an update, that should be automatically done.
    Thanks for any advise.
