Tried to install Mobtown bed bars that I got second hand. Found out the hard way it's an older version that fits only 2nd gens.

Installed a bed extender with the help of my son but also figured out later I used the wrong template and got mounted it a little too high. Darn thing still fits so whatever.

Removed the Pedal Commander so I can free up cash for other future mods. Just posted a video review on it.

Overall I'm just happy I didn't break anything or hurt myself today. :)

Nice rig man! How long did the install take you? I have a factory rack I've been sitting on, for when I get around to getting around!

You could still use the bed bars with a little modification. You could get a flat piece of metal that extends downward just a little farther and countersink some screws into the new flat piece then tap the existing bed bar mount and cut off the screws if they protrude on the back side of the bed bar mount. Then drill a new hole slightly lower that will line up with the existing insert to hold the bed bars in place. Since the bed bar is sitting on the side of the bed it should be plenty strong enough to hold the bed bars in place.

Got the high pressure fuel pump replaced today. Wasn't causing any issues, was just making a noise I didn't like so the dealer replaced it under warranty, no questions asked. Good service right there.

yeah that's kind of great service. totally unlike what you hear around these parts.

did they reproduce the sound first and agree it's not right?

They did confirm that it was present, got Toyota to approve the replacement, ordered the part and put it on.

what was the sound, and any details about it? if you don't mind.

i don't have any performance issues of any kind but this motor is a bit odd, and one of the noises that comes and goes has my attention.

It was just a chirping noise at idle. Nothing crazy loud and went away when throttle was applied. But, a chirp that shouldn't have been there nonetheless.
