Man that frame looks like the Titanic. Lol I'd be getting my money back from the sorry fucker who gave the inspection greenlight on that.

I would do what JdevTac recommended. Sounds like you did everything correct even having the frame inspected. i would report it to Toyota corporate to start the dialogue and time stamp when this took place, but go after the seller. they new it was rusted out. get your money back and start over. good luck

Holy Crap Guys! I am on the phone with Toyota Customer Care, the truck qualifies for frame inspection and I am sure a new frame afterwards. I'm getting connected to a local dealership to get setup for an appointment. :amen::broccoli::bikewheelie::oldglory:

Well, I have done it before with good results, I thought trusting an independent mechanic would be safe. Learned my lesson, i think toyota is gonna take care of me.

enjoy the free loaner car they give you, that definetly looks like a new frame replacement incident. in the end you will make out quite well after all said and done.

With a new frame... your truck has potential to be an unbelievable deal.

I did not purchase untill toyota agreed to the new frame. As long as you get this frame..
It'll be a brand new truck. :fingerscrossed:

I think they also replace the shocks/struts and any other items that are deemed rusted out while its all apart, in the end he made a killer deal, and should have a free loaner car till its all done.

true, but I don't think the stoned teenage lube techs are the ones doing the frame replacements.

Personally I was (and am still) very happy that my frame had rusted out! I'd rather have a 2005 with brand new frame. ..than to spend the same amount of money on a 2005 truck with the original 2005 frame.

o_O I though that was common sense :notsure:

I hear what you saying about a possible issue with the frame replacement, hopefully it all goes fine. I'd rather deal with those kinda issues than drive around a death trap rustier than the titanic, I'm not in the position to just call this a loss and move on. She is at the shop and getting the frame assessment. I should know the outcome within an hour or so.

I think that's the first time I have ever heard anyone say they were glad their frame rusted out.

Just got the call, they are going to replace the frame! They warned me they will most likely break some things and there will be some extra cost, anyone else run into this? I'm very happy, I pickup a loaner tomorrow.
