What sliders should I get?

Sliders don't make good steps

 

Just showing my excitement! No need to be a dick lol

 

Yeah yeah ... and jet fuel can't melt steel beams, I get it ...

I've seen plenty of evidence to the contrary (on here) to give it a shot.

 

We are slowly catching up. We have 9 sets at powder now and 5 sets going through weld. After those 5 sets get done and the 9 sets get back we will officially be back on track. Finally got the DOM tubing issue resolved. We have to get it trucked in from Wisconsin to our shop in Maryland now... For some bizarre reason, no one any closer can get it. Well, everyone close by can get us the imported DOM but we won't use it, it's junk. So we are having domestic DOM trucked in. We're buying it as fast as they can get it. 40 sticks every 2 to 3 weeks. Now that we have a reliable vendor for the DOM, we shouldn't have too many more delays with steel.

 

Awesome! Much better to have a good product than a rush job. Keep sourcing the good metal as opposed to that coming from certain unregulated Nations

 

exactly, I'd rather wait for local or quality materials as opposed to getting a lesser product sooner.

 

Yeah, we bought some imported stuff and tested it out. It bent inconsistently and welded even worse. We sent it all back.

It doesn't make sense. Steps are cheaper and better for using as a step. Sliders add 200lbs to the vehical. And don't make good steps as they are tight to the body. For a 2wd that doesn't off-road this is a waste.

 

^ I like the step on the kickout.
My problem is everytime I step up there to reach into the bed... my knee hits the quarter panel and tat thin sheet metal is easy to dent....
