My engine and powertrain warranty is worth a lot more than $750...hahaha

See how badly they screw people when they find out you messed with software controlling engine/transmission/etc.

Why is "exhaust" in quotes? Are we including quasi-exhausts? Fake exhausts? Near-exhausts? What's fair game for this discussion?

This engine just doesn't sound good with any exhausts I've heard outside of the URD Spec U.

I dig my Borla exhaust. It's got a nice tame rumble to it, and it screams when you floor it.

A bunch of people complain about it being noisier than stock, but I used to drive a 00 Trans Am WS6 with an open cutout.

I cut mine off so it doesnt get hung up/bashed on rocks when I'm on the trails. Plus it looks better, not having a donkey dick hanging off the back. Flare it out because it looks bad ass. Also, the weight savings is INCREDIBLE.

Hard to argue with this logic as potential risk. If you do ever have a chance to drive someone else's truck with the tune loaded, I'd be willing to bet you'd feel more inclined to say the stock tune is more likely to cause warranty repairs than prevent them. I know your point is warranty void period regardless of cause - but I wanted to prevent trips to the dealership. No way the roughness in the stock tune isn't harder on the truck than a smooth power delivery throughout that doesn't jerk everything.

I had the same dilemma definitely take magnaflow, I installed it 2 days ago the sound is great not too loud not too quiet. I had good deal on Amazon for 520$ now its 620 i see, but still - worth every peny. Very easy to instal.

I went with the TRD exhaust. I like it so far not load, not much louder then the stock exhaust and I have it paired with the TRD cold air intake. I will probably get the OVtune once the final product is complete. I have read every page of the thread and everyone has said the dealership cannot detect the tune so am not to worried about warranty issues.

Your logic is on point. I like your style. How is the sound? Any difference?

I installed the 3" MBRP a week ago. It was $210 on Amazon for the aluminum one. The stainless steel one is about $100 more. Sounds great.

    I did exactly the same.

It really makes the truck sound great and like a V8 at times.
