It looks like in your first pic the water was splashing onto the hood? That seems fast...

On the other hand those slim line bumpers are pretty cool, you should do it!

They have a defective clip on the top side. I made my dealer replace it.

This is a common theme for a lot of 3rd Gen'ers. Happened to me last year and I know it happened to 2 others as well. #ziptiegang

    2017 Tacoma OR 4x4 (formerly a 1998 SR5 PU, 2002 OR 4x4, 1995 4x4 4Runner, 1985 4x4 Toy PU) ... and RIP’s (rust in pieces) to a Bronco II 4x4 & S10 Blazer 4x4
There were a bad bunch of CJ5's made in the late 90's that would swallow water and seize the engine so badly it damaged them, just by pushing a small bow wave during mild water crossings. It happened to a girlfriend's brand new jeep back then. Hope our stock Tacomas can't do that!

Which bumper is that? I'm looking for a good low profile one, and that one looks good.

Thanks man, it's the SSO Slimline. They are super easy to work with and you can get a winch cut out and/or light bar cut out included if you want. Also, the loop bar is optional.
