    Install is so much easier for a double cab.

    glad to hear it hahaha now I just hope I can find a deal on here next year. cuz brand new it would cost me a small fortune to get one shipped up here. I don't mind paying shipping if I can get it for a bargain

    @Lots2Learn58
    in general? or from prinsu?

    EDIT: so for a completely bare rack shipped from prinsu would be about $790CND before taxes and duties lol 150 of which is shipping

    OR

    Powder Coated for about 935. 175 of which is shipping

    That's insane! You don't need powdercoated. Its aluminum, and wont rust

    hahaha you are correct sir, but, I would want it to be black. I have a buddy who does PC tho so he might be able to do it for cheaper. I would have to run it by him first haha so pretty much if he could do it for less then 145 bucks that would be ideal.

    yeah I could also try that, I bought some rostoleum self etching primer the other day because I don't see it too often. I just don't trust that it would hold up very well. ive never had very much luck with painting things haha it always scratches really easy lol never new about self etching primer tho haha I see everyone on here painting their own bumpers and what not, but I feel like the winters/salt up here would just ruin the paint. in my mind I'm thinking that PC might hold up a little better and take a little but more abuse but I'm not sure really.

    It would still rust, just maybe not quite as quick. Only difference is once it rusts, you're SOL. With paint, you can just touch it up yourself.

    I just wipe the bare metal with acetone to clean it up, prime and paint! Then let it sit for a day or two to dry.

    It'll be a great way to get your feet wet! It's really easy. If you've never done it, watch a quick video on the technique and you'll be good to go.
