Just a bit longer before the boat goes in storage and the RTT and sweaters come out. Been kinda itching for a camping trip.

I'm going hardshell if I go RTT again. I broke 2 zippers on my RTT while camping and needed to just throw a motorcycle tie down around it to drive out.

A couple minutes fighting a zipper Vs 3-5 times the cost. Most people struggle to justify the cost of a cheap rtt, but you get what you pay for. Same goes for awnings, Hannibal awnings are imo the best, but there are a lot more cvt and arb out there.

One of my stargazer windows is perma-shut due to zipper failure. I don't want to open it on a hot night because if it busts I'm going to be there in the winter freezing balls.

I feel it could break if I look at it too hard. Shit, I hope it does not read this thread and split on spite.

Looking forward to adding one of the @ChandlerDOOM hard shell RTT's to the LandCruiser. None of the issues that everyone is complaining about and won't break the bank.

Don't you guys with stuck RTT zippers have on board air? Give them a nice blast to try and remove the grit.

Doesn't work unless you have a tank or CO2. The volume in the compressor manifold isn't enough to do anything before it's used up.

Noob question... is it the zipper on the cover that's getting messed up or the zippers on the tent, like doors and windows? Kinda been hearing both :notsure:

My only problem was with the cover but it was my fault for catching tent canvas in the zipper more than once. Bought a replacement cover. Super careful with the zipper now.
