Zantac is an H2 receptor antagonist; omeprazole is a proton pump inhibitor (ppi). Any ppi will work better than any h2. But zantac/tagament will show some benefit faster.

Nexium is literally a double dose of omeprazole (with an isolated sterio-isomer).

Feel free to take one omeprazole in AM, and a zantac + omeprazole before bed. This is better than 2 omeprazole at bed time.

Try to avoid mints, chicolate, greasy and spicy foods before bed.
