You will need to trim and cut to run 285's without rubbing most likely (depending on what wheels you are using)

Is it worth it or should I just run 265/75r16? And what is cmc? And how how come I would need a new Uca? And not a lca?

CMC = Cab mount chop; cut is made where the body mounts tot he frame just behind the front wheels. Google should help show what is involved.

Anything at or over 2.5" of lift you will want to get UCAs so you're not constantly in the alignment bay of a mechanic shop and so you're not wandering down a highway..

285 - if you don't mind cutting and chopping. On payment only, there's not much to cut or trim. Off pavement, you're chasing your rubs and cutting and pounding pinch welds, plastic etc.

265 - if you just want to not bother with any of the above

265/75r16 is the safe bet and will get good MPG.

The next best thing is 255/85r16 which is a 33" aka tall and skinny, aka pizza cutter, ...what model do you have? It won't rub depending on the wheels you have, 99% OEM/TRD 16" will not rub on stock suspension
I just switched to this last week on my 17 limited ST maxx on my 16" FJ team trail wheels with no rubbing at all.

    I have a 17 off-road I will go with the 265 75 16 or the 255 85 16! So I don't have to do the cmc

    Wouldn't cmc void my warranty?

Nothing will void an entire vehicle warranty. Warranty is applied on systems parts and components. If you install a lift it can void parts of your steering and potentially some driveline components for instance.

So like If my frame cracked, then they would warranty it?

All I'm saying is what would be affected warranty wise by cutting off that body mount?

You don't cut it off. You shave some of it off. Nothing would be affected.
