Glad I can be of help. Others have done the same for me and I'm just paying it forward.

I dont think you have a choice, if you have an inspection and there are no holes I think toyota does the crc automatically

If that's the case, I will delay going in for the inspection.

from everything i've read, getting the treatment has helped accelerate the frame rot. I'll probably have it inspected in the next few weeks, even though I didn't find any holes when I checked myself.

What I'm afraid of is if you get the crc treatment are they done with you? I thought I read in the last round something to the effect that you were covered 12 years as long as you didn't have a previous frame replacement OR crc treatment? I know some here are getting the replacement after the crc on the new warranty program, but how long will this hold up? That's my concern :notsure:

No that is not the case. In the very least, owners are allowed an Annual inspection till there 12 years is up.
    Think of it this way...
If you have a 2010 inspected that doesn't fail this year, then you have 4-5 years left on the limited service campaign that doesn't count??? I don't think so...
Toyota is on the hook for 12 years from when that vehicle was first sold.
It may not be an unlimited number of inspections but I'll almost guarantee you it's at least one/year.

People...Regardless who gives the information, or how many times they've been right in giving info, YOU NEED TO BE AWARE OF YOUR RIGHTS. THAT REQUIRES READING THE LEGAL DOCUMENTATION.

You're right. Rusty Taco is the one to talk to about replacement after coating. He's the only one I'm aware of that has gone that route..

IMG_2638.jpg IMG_2628.jpg IMG_2638.jpg IMG_2628.jpg The CRC extends the frame warranty for 15 years, unlimited Miles/Km from the service date in which the crc is applied

It's a joke!!! The CRC will most likely speed up the proses, if there is any small cracks in the coating water and salt will find its way in and it won't be able to dry properly due to the fact that it is not open to the wind to dry it out.

Here is photos of a guy that failed his frame inspection here in Calgary not long ago and he had his frame coated around the same time as me. My frame was replaced last January.
Hole was found last week in my trailer hitch mounts and my hitch was never replaced with my frame

My frame was sprayed in 2015 and a year and half later it's rotted in many places . In fact the service manager said that it nothing and it did seem to speed up the corrosion.

today I got an inspection on my 2010. They told me the program is open right now and they don't have a cut off date. I am going to get a new frame with my truck having 102K miles. They told me 1 month and are offering a rental. They also did a leaf swap and now my truck sits lower in the back. I had the TSB spring kit before this and they swapped without telling me. I don't know how I am going to lift it back up about an inch or so

Actually, they assured me they would give me a rental when the work is going to be done. I was able to drive my truck home today, and they are going to get the frame in before they start the work. Pretty amazing to me how cooperative they are being.

Ok.. So Ive read quite a bit of this thread, but I just want to make sure I understand this 100% before I go in for my inspection.

Purchace date is Sept 9th, 2008... This means my end of "extended warranty" is Sept 9th, 2020?

Is there a yearly frame inspection that is free of charge, or will I have to pay out of pocket for the dealer to have another look see?

Is the CRC a good idea if it "accelerates" the rust, meaning the frame would definatley be replaced before the cutoff? Or should I just not do it, and do the DIY frame restoration I found on here?

If I DENY the CRC, will it void the rest of the warranty because I didnt take the free "fix" for the issue, or will the frame still be covered without CRC?

Sorry, I just like to be prepared to talk to these people becuase they are dense...

It only takes 2-3 days to install. I was told the once they get the frames it only depends on how many people got the process started before you.

Good to hear. Share a pic or two of the new frame when you get it back.
