I am looking at a smaller one and wondering if 300mah is enough to charge a battery for a whole week end? Battery is slighly used during week end too.

I need to do it so I can put it over my crossbars and load stuff up there when going hunting. I don't want gas and stuff with my hunting clothes and also, a dead deer :rofl:

No, I'm building a complete rack for the cap. This is separate from the prinsu.

Will it connect to the prinsu? Like to make it one long roof rack

No, because the bed flexes separate from the cab quite a bit (I can tell from the shell). I don't want to tie the two together and potentially break something. I'm making it the same width as the prinsu though, and it'll butt up a couple inches away, so it'll almost be one complete rack.

That'd be pretty sweet. I'm really impressed with the quality of the prinsu.

Did you bolt your prinsu through the roof molding or do you have to cut it? Wondering how I would mount that rack on my roof.

you have to either run without the weather strip or drill them for double cabs

Guess I'll be drilling because I doubt I'll run without them. Haha

Yeah, what John said. There's no downside to running without them really aside from aesthetics. I don't have mine in because I gave them to the seller. Another easy way I saw to make holes is to get a short piece of metal pipe, sharpen the edges, and use that to punch holes in the strip.

i think you would still need to drill. Like @inesshell said, there is a strip of metal under all of that rubber

I've seen someone do it the way I described, so it works. That's where I got the idea.

Here's my progress so far. Got it all mocked up and bolted up. All that's left for today is to paint it and mount it. I'm going to order some aluminum strips long enough to add decorative pieces to the sides which will clean it up quite a bit.
