To be fair, this guy has been trying to answer this question for a while. I drive a Land Cruiser so I can't help him. Anybody want to help a brother out?

75" for the larger tent vs 56" for the smaller tent. You can make it fit, but will have 15" hanging off the back.

It would work if the rack that you used to hold the RTT was the same height as a roof rack on the cab of the truck. You would just need to use part of the rack on the cab to support the RTT.

Also keep in mind that the bed is rigidly attached to the frame of the truck, where as the cab is isolated by rubber bushings, so there will be flex between the two. I like that idea though, only other thing would be to isolate the two racks and tent with bushings to account for flex.

@Texoma I believe I still have several of the 2" heavy duty ratchet straps if you need them when you go get the tents.

Once we can get a full committed list, payment will be the full amount. When we get the list, we will discuss how we put in the order. Ideally, we would have a staggered shipping, so Cali will go first, then TX, then east coast. Or something like that. That way the manufacturer won't be overkilled.

Do you know weights of the tent systems themselves? Weight that will be on truck? Should be about 130lbs for the smaller tent yes?

I see in OP it says 165 lbs - that would make these 35lbs heavier than Smittybilt tents but I can't see how when they should be the same tent rebranded

    165. All weight and dimension stuff is on the front page, or a page back.

Sorry I edited my post- check it again

Edit again- guess not, Smittybilt tents appear slightly smaller

    Loose nut behind the wheel.
Exactly, and just based on my experience with other equipment, I doubt these companies advertise weights more accurately than +/-15%. Variances between production runs, annex / no annex, what hardware/parts to include in weight, etc. 165 jives with the claimed shipping weight (176) of the CVT-branded model.
