Tacoma - OVTUNE - VFTUNER - Update Info and Original Development

@OVTune what am I'm having on 1.01 and 1.02 is that when i take it to rev limit, right when it shift from 1st to 2nd it will have like fuel cut or somthing in that nature. I didn't have this problem on stock file. Anyone exp this problem?

Can you update the original post or the instructions on the website so that those of us with the updated dongle know where to begin the installation without having to search through the forum?

 

Install the drivers for open port and the guardian dongle, download PCM flash, and move to page 11 of the instructions. You skip the license key piece.

 

Perfect instructions.... Also Disable Windows Defender

 

Mine did that also, it just is bouncing off of the rev limiter. Watch the video I posted earlier. I thought it was just slow shifting in "S".

 

Anybody in the order number #2000's receive their tracking number yet?

I emailed OP when I had the 1.01b file but told him I didn't want to slow him down on 1.02 and could wait out for 1.02. Sadly the problem still exist.

First drive on 1.02. DAMN this thing gets up and goes.(even with heavy ass rims and 315's E rated). Had to WOT through a Yellow light on the way to work, and it kept pulling till' 6k. Shifting feels the same(to me) as 1.01B..well see as I get more seat time. But overall impressed.

Installed 1.02 this morning. Running TRD CAI and catback exhaust. Drove it about 10 miles. Felt shuddering at around 20 and 45 mph. Thought it was ripples on the road surface at first but it was repeatable. Not as much in ECT mode but still there. Didn't want to push it so took it home.

Not yet, I've been wondering what's the time frame but I know he's swamped with resolving quirks and all that jazz.

04B02 Calibration owners will be receiving a new file today for the ECU and TCU. (stuff that was udpated through 03)

 

Got a few hundred miles to clock this weekend on 02. Hopefully you can get it done before I leave

@OVTune with some of the issues being reported with 1.02 and it appears fixes are being worked on, does that mean a 1.02.xx or 1.03 will be released? And for those of us waiting on new orders, will we get the 1.02.xx/1.3 or whatever you end up calling it that will have all these fixes preloaded?

For people who are getting our kits they will receive the latest firmware release (1.02)

The issues aren't happening to everyone, and it is only happening on toyotas OLDER firmware version (04B02). Out of everyone with 04B02 There are 3 people reporting the stutter.

If your truck is on latest OEM release (04B03) then there should be no issues.




For people with a 04B02, it can be converted to a 03 it's just a lot of work in the hex.
