I'd like some good video or pics, one of those 60,000 had to have had a smartphone.

To be honest, most pics are ambiguous or just downright worthless.... Some folks take a picture and see whatever they want. With Photoshop and similar programs, it's hard to accept video or still pics..It's kind like asking a hiker, Why didn't you get a picture of the cougar you saw on the trail??... There are tons of casting (footprints) and many have pretty good detail... Some have even been able to cast dermal ridges from the tracks. Dermal ridges are the sets lines that make up your footprint (or hand print)... In my opinion, the footprints are probably the strongest argument for there really being a species of large, upright primates out there. The anatomical/orthopedic evidence is pretty interesting... Keep in mind, I am a skeptic too..

I'll get the two best videos out there. The stabilized Patterson/Gimlin film and the Freeman footage...

This is a short clip of the Roger Patterson/Bob Gimlin film clip from 1967. They were intentionally up in northern California looking for Bigfoot because many forests people had been seeing the large tracks/trackways along the new roads they had cut in the area for logging. These 2 guys were on horseback. As they came around a bend on the road, the horses reacted and Roger saw the animal and began filming. Bob provided cover with a rifle. If you search and find the original, it flies all over the place and is very difficult to get anything out of it.... Someone (can't remember who) went through it frame by free to provide this "stabilized" version. Over the next few days, many researchers came out to the site to cast print, record stride lengths, etc.... Bob Gimlin said he later stood along side one of the impressions and tried to duplicate the depth. He stepped up onto a stump the sat about 2' above the ground and jumped off of it landing on a single boot heel. The impression was just about the same depth into the sandy soil the was along the creek. I've met and talked with Mr Gimlin at length and he's a no-shit, straight up cowboy. He story has never varied or changed in any way.

The following is straight from Wikipedia:

Patterson estimated he was about 25 ft (7.6 m) away from the creature at his closest. Patterson said that his horse reared upon sensing the figure, and he spent about twenty seconds extricating himself from the saddle, controlling his horse, getting around to its other side,[48] and getting his camera from a saddlebag before he could run toward the figure while operating his camera. He yelled "Cover me" to Gimlin, "meaning to get the gun out."[49] He crossed the creek on horseback after Patterson had run well beyond it, riding on a path somewhat to the left of Patterson's and somewhat beyond his position. Perez estimates he came within 60–90 feet of "Patty."[49] Then, rifle in hand, he dismounted, but did not point his rifle at the creature.[50]

The figure had walked away from them to a distance of about 120 ft (36.5 m) before Patterson began to run after it. The resulting film (about 59.5 seconds long at 16 fps) is initially quite shaky until Patterson got about 80 ft (24.4 m) from the figure. At that point, the figure glanced over its right shoulder at the men and Patterson fell to his knees; on Krantz's map this corresponds to frame 264.[51] To researcher John Green, Patterson would later characterize the creature's expression as one of "contempt and disgust...you know how it is when the umpire tells you 'one more word and you're out of the game.' That's the way it felt."

Shortly after this point the steady, middle portion of the film begins, containing the famous look-back frame 352. Patterson said, "it turned a total of I think three times,"[52] the other times therefore being before the filming began and/or while he was running with his finger off the trigger. Shortly after glancing over its shoulder on film, the creature disappeared behind a grove of trees for 14 seconds, then reappeared in the film's final 15 seconds after Patterson moved ten feet to a better vantage point, fading into the trees again and being lost to view at a distance of 265 feet as the reel of film ran out.[53]

Gimlin remounted and followed it on horseback, keeping his distance, until it disappeared around a bend in the road three hundred yards away. Patterson called him back at that point, feeling vulnerable on foot without a rifle, because he feared the creature's mate might approach. The entire encounter had lasted less than two minutes.

Next, Gimlin and Patterson rounded up Patterson's horses, which had run off in the opposite direction, downstream, before the filming began. Patterson got his second roll of film from his saddlebag and filmed the tracks.[54] Then the men tracked "Patty" for either one mile[51] or three miles (5 km),[55] but "lost it in the heavy undergrowth."[56] They went to their campsite three miles south, picked up plaster, returned to the initial site, measured the creature's step-length, and made two plaster casts, one each of the best-quality right and left prints.

Anyway, Here's a link to the stabilized clip.... The detail is impressive. You can see breasts, massive musculature, arm and leg length ratios that do not match human... To date, no Hollywood studio or special effects group has been able to even come close... Keep in mind, this was 1967.

...and here's the Paul Freeman footage from 1994. He was a retired forest guy that frequently went looking for tracks and was apparently a part-time researcher. He had seen several tracks in an area in near the "Blue Mountains" I believe in eastern Washington. This supposedly was filmed as he was looking and new tracks he had found... The end of the film has some enhancements I believe.

Im from AZ and they have been know for lights in the sky.

Ive seen them about 5 times over the years. Shit in the middle of the city. 3 red lights in a triangle for an hour not moving. Huge lights spanning over miles when I was 13. 4 orange lights off the side of the highway just sitting at the same height for an hour and then moving 10 miles ahead in a blink.

Not saying they are for sure aliens but if not then the government has some crazy crazy ships...

One time in CA i saw a light in the sky with a huge plume behind it going horizontal then at high speed... like 1500 mph it made a 90 degree turn and headed straight up out of sight.

There are weird things out there

I get that there's like Photoshop and all, but really a video from 1967 is the best proof? How many game cameras smartphones etc that can take HD pic s or video in seconds, yet not a single believable video. Not to mention how no remains have been found, it's not like we haven't unearthed remains from thousands of years ago. They're elusive and bury their dead? One would expect they can't predict human migration and construction routes. Unless we're the ones with lower intelligence.

Don't forget the hundreds of thousands of people that hunt or live off the grid in very remote places.
Everyone carries hi resolution cameras to capture those special moments.
There is no physical proof and never has been that Bigfoot exists, in my opinion.

Man, I'm certainly not here to convince anyone of anything....

Just passing information along and trying to contribute to this thread.... It's extremely rare to come across bones/carcass of a cougar or bear... You're talking about an intelligent animal that much, much more rare. Your point about older bones has been kicked around numerous times... Remains in a forest setting is gone in less than 4 weeks typically. Fossilization has to come from very specific conditions. We don't have a single fossilized sample from a chimp or ape either simply because the jungle conditions aren't right for forming fossils.... The fossils we have from Africa are from arid, dry.. desert conditions.

Lets start with human intelligence.... as a starting point. If you lived in the Pacific Northwest and you adapted to that terrain. It become "your backyard," so to speak.....Do you hunt? You can typically hear a human coming from a quarter mile away. You can hear a vehicle driving through the woods from a great distance. The vast majority of humans in the woods stay within defined areas and trails. They rarely stray away from established paths/trails/camp grounds, etc. Chances are, you've walked right by many, many animals and never saw them, or they simply heard you coming and left before you arrived, leaving very few signs they were ever there. If you wanted to avoid other human, you yourself could do this very easily....

People have reported seeing these things as long as humans have been here... Leif Erikson is the oldest example that I know of in North America...and I think he died in something like 1020.... Every tribe has their version of what "it" is... Some of their stories mention living in harmony with them.. others record stories of children being eaten by these creatures... Teddy Roosevelt wrote about a pretty interesting encounter when he was discovering what is now Yosemite...

No one can tell you why something does or doesn't happen with an animal that "doesn't exist". It's a fun subject.

I knew this would polarize people... Again, not trying' to convince anyone of anything... I would say, on a scale of zero-to-100, I'm about 65-70 convinced something os out there that's "unknown-to-the scientific-commmunity" and that's after a TON of time in the woods, contacting people that live off the grid (yes, some of them have encounters too).... It will probably take killing an animal or finding that elusive dead body to change that... Science calls it a "type-specimen". Otherwise, it might as well be a fairy or a unicorn.

Don't sweat it man.... the whole group of people that get into Bigfoot is filled with nuts, dickheads, self-proclaimed experts and just plain crazy-ass people... It's actually quite the circus....

There's a whole off-shoot of believers that think the creature can use its mind to put thoughts in your mind, so you can't see it, or freezes you for a short period of time so it can escape.... Seriously...lol
