Posted fuel economy numbers notwithstanding, you will get better mileage in the 4cyl day in day out. 21-22mpg easy, even hammering it. You will never even see 20 in a V6.

ive got 24 a few times on stock tires and still manage 21-22 from time to time (summer time) on 33's in 4.0, but I rarely hammer on it

I must be doing something wrong, ha. Too much city driving kills my mpg, lots of stop and go.

my 99 taco 2.7 4x4 ECLB had plenty of power even towing a 2k camper

had to keep revs up for power

my 09 CCLB 4x4 v6 does get about 20-21 on high way but back roads a bit less

haha... of course I'm joking. I know nothing about turbos, never put any mods on anything I own. Part of me would be tempted to put straight pipes, headers etc... but then the other part of me thinks it would be cheaper just to buy a v8 a that point. :)

You should be able to have a low boost set up on your truck for ~5k (less if you have some fabricating skills) and should be comparable to a trd sc 4.0, but you will nost like wanna gave a spare vehicle to drive while ur truck is dow ln
