It can be scary to see some of the issues that have happened, but I tell you what, I personally don't think you can find a better-looking rack.

Well, on the opposite side of the spectrum, mine showed up in 4 weeks, with all necessary pieces.... Minus the 1" rear crossbar needed for 3rd gens, or anything with a shark fin I believe. Nevertheless, CBI had that to me in a few days.

Well, I have them about a week to respond but I finally had to PM them via FB and they finally responded with the following:

    "Dear Paul,

Thanks for reaching out to us. So we have taken a look into your concern and even though there does show a small blemish in the powder coating, we do remind you this is is a metal manufactured part in aluminum especially which is a much softer metal and little dings and such is not uncommon in the process. This one looks as though it could likely be during the powder coating process but with the textured coating wasn't noticed with how small it is and isn't really outside the inspection process. So we feel if you want to pay shipping both ways we would be happy to replace the wind deflector for you no problem, so please let us know what you would like to do. Thanks again and talk to you soon.

    Thanks,
    Prinsu Sales Team"

    :annoyed:

Yeah, I can live with it too, just can't believe their response. The best companies try their hardest to satisfy their customers but some just don't care about going the extra mile. You would think that after paying for S+H, the least they could do is cover it. I guess that I'll have to pay S&H if I want another one...

I feel like they could have found a better way to say it. I interpret what they said as "we don't see this as a problem, you are being OCD. So its gonna cost you". I don't feel like what they offered was bad. I just don't like the way it was said.

Yeah I feel the same way. It is weird, like it's my fault for noticing it. I guess I need to lower my standards. Lol

If you don't want to see it, you can always do what I did by accident and flip that thing over and install it the other way. Makes their logo backwards, but I didn't really care about that.

Eh. Should've been caught, but realistically it isn't damage, just an imperfection.

First rock strike on the freeway will make that look a lot less irritating.

How often do you get struck by rocks? lol. I drive 80 miles a day to work and have only gotten one rock chip.

Didn't say it was going to happen tomorrow?

That coating isn't coming off in that spot, so there's nothing wrong with it. Aesthetics are effected and that's why they want to replace it, but not out of their pocket. There isn't anything "wrong" with it. Ugly isn't defective.

Probably cheaper to have it done locally than pay shipping twice on an item that big.

Have everything I want powdercoated done locally. If I don't like it I can bitch about it face to face.

I'm sure the Prinsu Design brand would love to lower their standard and to be known by this new reputation. o_O

Apparently that's the case. Hence the complaint.

Wasn't my call, just giving an opinion.

Maybe this has been covered... anyone go from the standard wind fairing to the light bar version? Is there any noticeable wind noise or whistling?

I thought you said it fit without that 1" cross bar?

It did fit, just had to have the rear most crossbar in front of the shark fin. You could also grind a notch in it if you wanted to retain that 2 inch crossbar. The new one was an easy solution

A few audio upgrades, tinted windows, remote start because it f'n hot in Texas! 6in Fabtech DB lift, 17x9 Fuel Trophy wheels, 315/70/17 Duratracs,BAMF 80in sliders w/kickout, Prinsu cab rack w/30in Heretic light bar, custom bedside decals, custom hi-lift jack brackets, US Offroad front bumper w/winch, bed rack with RTT, CB, Short wave base station, Ultra gauge, color matched grille surround, an ungodly amount of recover gear, ARB fridge, hood struts, RotoPax, traction pads.
I fit mine without any modifications to the fin or the bar. Don't get me wrong it is super close, about a 32nd of space but it worked :notsure:
