IMG_8501.jpg IMG_8502.jpgIt's not the 10/22 but I'm going to toss this mod in here just in-case. CZ455 trigger mod you don't have to pay for Yo Dave trigger kits or the whole trigger unit replacement. I went to Ace Hardware and bought myself a .51$ spring to replace the stock spring, set and adjusted to 1 1/2 pounds breaks crispy clean and won't go off if trip and fall. The new spring is almost twice longer than stock spring way more sensitive had to be adjusted for safety reason. The new 24" varmint barrel will be here in a week another upgrade for the CZ. Note: mod at your own risk.

For 22lr, I've found that mueller scopes are a pretty good bang for the buck.

Just bought everything I'll need to complete my 10/22 build! Order a magpul x22 backpacker on sale, found a threaded with sights complete barrel and just found a Bushnell trs-25. All together I've saved about $400 if you take into account the sales and full price of everything.

Sent back the scope. $20 in shipping. Almost half the price of the scope.

I was going to get the vortex diamondback rimfire, but I'm going to hold off with all this storm stuff

Nice!!! Are you not running some sort of bolt buffer in that? That's the second most important mod IMO, after some type of trigger improvement (depending on ones needs).

I want to buy a 10/22 sometime soon - my new house has a 100 yard shooting range. I had no idea there were so many aftermarket parts for that gun.

Any suggestions on the specific 10/22 model I buy to start out?

The factory one is just a steel pin, a true "buffer" is made from a polymer and actually softens the bolts reward travel resulting in a smoother overall feel while shooting the rifle.

I'd buy a plain jane model, because you're most likely going to mod the crap out of it to suit your needs/likes. Be warned, one 10/22 is never enough!!!
