I've had this sound for about a week. Was getting ready to call dealership. I just figured it was a belt. Thanks for posting!

Jealous. What did you use to get the sound from the HU to the sub/amp? I've been looking into OEM+ but thats the price of a winch bumper :annoyed:

I used the ********* subwoofer harness. It was a plug and play deal that plugged into the stock plugs and sent signal back. Then I purchased a cheapie amplifer wiring kit and used the power / ground wires from that to power it.

Unicorns do exist, and in this case it found me. Installed MGM bumper caps from @ponts and gave the truck a nice wash. Ponts sent me a PM offering to sell his caps based on me missing out on a different set in the buy and sell. Made me a sweet deal even shipped from the great white north (Canada). Possible debadge in the future now that I've got a taste of less chrome.

Now if only my Prinsu Toprac would get here so I could install my awning and some other accessories.

C4 Fabrication BSM support rear bumper with swing out and all bells/whistles. Added enough weight with the bumper, rack, and RTT that I got Icon heavy duty leaf springs and Toytec U bolt flip kit. No more sagging. Sits perfect now. Happy camper.

Pretty sure the 3rd Gen rear sliding window is very similar to the 2nd Gens, so try this out if yours springs a leak!

    Somewhere in the Mojave Desert...
    Vehicle:
    2017 Tacoma OR 4x4 (formerly 2002 OR 4x4, 1995 4x4 4Runner, 1985 4x4 Toy PU) ... and RIP’s (rust in pieces) to a Bronco II 4x4 & S10 Blazer 4x4
Since I couldn't find any tie down anchors for the Yakima style rails on my ARE MX shell, I made my own using (2) 5/16 X 1 stainless lag bolts (put on grinder to make T-bolts out of them to fit rail), (2) 5/16 stainless lock nuts, and (1) pack of Tractor Supply anchor rings (#09108). I put one anchor on each of my 2 rail ends.

Edit: I forgot to mention that you will have to drill out the anchor holes a bit to fit the bolts (I did it by hand holding pliers), and use a small slotted screwdriver to jam next to the grinded sides of the bolts to keep them from spinning while you tighten them.

Now I can tie down bags, a box, mount a temporary arm to hold the solar shower, or even my folding Folbot 2-person sea kayak when I transport it assembled (it's soft). Probably will stick on some rub strips or a protective roof mat on the shell roof between the rails and will pad underneath the kayak or other things when it's up there too. Like this: https://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B06VT99ZXS/ref=mp_s_a_1_2

I don't want to put a rack up there, in fact I will be leveling the height of the cab to the height of the shell a bit more with a newly acquired Prinsu rack over the cab along with a custom kayak cradle since the kayak needs to lay flat when assembled or its tube frame may get bent a bit. Total cost of the 4 anchor points: less than $30.
