Width of wheel & What Backspace + offset? No way youre running 16s on a DB without decent stanced wheels.

Wheels are stock from the factory. Couldn't part with them when I did my lift

No way, You running spacers though? awesome you got away with that! Fabtech even says on their website that you need a minimum of 17" wheels with 4 & 4/5 Backspacing. Crazy. I was gonna go with fabtech for my DB lift but it was another $1500 vs the BDS kit and was hard as hell to find in canada for cheap

"Our 6" Basic Systems include steel coilover shock spacers that utilize the stock front coilover shocks for a factory like ride. This system includes our proven IFS technology with extended length ductile iron steering knuckles and arched crossmembers for exceptional suspension ground clearance with a 1/4" thick differential skid plate, impact struts, heavy duty tie rods, rear add-a-leafs and more.

    65. Must use 17" wheels or larger."

Fabtech is full of shit. You gotta get creative. I spent 40 bucks extra on my way to get the wheels to work.

Amazing, in all honesty I was wondering about a lot of the requirements that some of these manufacturers spec.. BDS said you absolutely could not run anything below 18 but theres another member here who runs 17's with a super wide stance on the same kit I have. Same with the Pro Comp kits, they say you need 18s but ive seen members running 17s as well. I didnt want to chance having 16s or 17s not fit and not having a vehicle for a few days cause the tires wouldnt fit on it. I need my truck for work so I had to do the 18s. Oh well. Im not a huge fan of the bigger rims so I may end up selling these and figuring out a way to work with 16s or 17s like you when I burn through these tires.

How do you like the fabtech kit? Was it worth the price?

Spacers and blocks are garbage. Love the ride height but the ride is crap. Saving for some full length king coilovers and bigger rear leafs to eliminate the blocks. Also some adjustable upper control arms to get your caster back into spec. I also want to do longer rear shocks with the weld on shock hoop

Yeah ive got 4" blocks in the rear, I know all about that. When the bed is empty and theres no weight back there, it feels like the world is ending going over potholes/bumps. Eventually going to invest in an alcan 6" leaf pack, but that isnt cheap either. I also get minor driveline vibrations for about a second or two after being stopped if I hit the gas too hard. 99% sure its from the massive blocks I have in the rear.

Buy a decent quality air compressor, plugs, and tools. But buy a spare too. No matter how much it costs it is cheaper than the alternative. I've been doing this too long. I keep compressors, plugs and spares in all my vehicles. Over the last 20 years I've probably plugged 20 tires for myself and others. It is a LOT simpler, safer and faster than putting on a spare.

But it can't always be done. I've had holes too big to be plugged. Once I got 3 plugs in a tire to hold air enough to get me to the next exit and a tire store. They couldn't save the tire, but put on my spare for $10. It was worth it being 1000 miles from home and cheaper than buying another tire. Another time I was 20 miles from pavement when the same thing happened, hole too big to fix with plugs and AAA couldn't get to me without a 4X4 even if I'd had cell service. Which I didn't. Did I mention that it would be good to have a spare.

The compressor is also good for airing tires up after a day of driving off road. I usually keep 30 psi in my trailer tires since an ATV is the heaviest thing I normally carry. But last week I needed to haul a HEAVY load. I forgot to air up the tires to 50 psi until AFTER loading the trailer when I noticed low tires. Using the compressor it took me about 10 minutes to get both tires up to 50 psi and get back on the road.

Carry a spare tire of appropriate size on your old rim, if you get a flat on the front, you'll have to move a rear tire to the front then put the spare on the back. More work but you'll be able to be more self sufficient.
