When I put my kit together with a shop here that only deals with modified trucks they told me. Kings are the best off road. And only a little more than my fox, but they usually need a rebuild every year or two. Also the fox supposedly stand up to our climate a little better and also slightly better on road but still great off road.

Said icon is garbage in our climate. And even not with our climate they have lots of issues.

All I hear is problems with icons

Kings aren't anymore expensive than the equivalent Fox and Icon offerings. In fact they are cheaper from some places. I think what confuses people is King only offers one size. 2.5s with reservoirs. The only option you get is to add adjusters or not. Icon and Fox both offer reservoir-less shocks and 2.0 shocks both of which come in significantly cheaper.

Well said ! I'm not sure why peeps go out of there way to absolutely dog other products that are different from what they have. I'm putting icon stage 5 on my 17, because it's a bit overkill for the wheeling I do. I always choose a little overkill as then I won't find myself switching suspensions because I don't have enough.
As I said earlier I have icons on my Jk . It has been to Moab, Rubi, silverton etc..... Never a problem. I think Kings are good also. Just never had expeariance using them. I've known a lot of peeps that use OME , icon and kings. No problems. But then most people set there rigs up I think, so they have more then enough for what they want to do. At least the smarter ones :) not saying I'm smart ...ok at least on this subject lol. That and regular maintenance makes for issue free wheeling. I personally have not witnessed any Icons or Kings with major problems on the trails.

@0210 has had a lot of problems with his Icons leaking.
Same shop I got my fox from has reported the same issue with icon.

Maybe they've fixed it now, but the earlier ones leaked a lot.

But I agree on the overbuilt part.
I did the same. Sure the fox 2.5 extended travel is overkill for the off roading I do, especially since its mostly rock crawling and not jumps or any high speed driving. Regardless I went a bit overkill cause I don't want to do a cheaper option, then in a few months not be happy with it and want to upgrade, now needing to accept the loss money on resale of the current set up then pay for the new stuff and install again for a better system.

Figure just go to the better stuff right away.

Was not pointing at anyone personally. Just in general about the digging of other products.
But I think if people were more willing to wait, to stick something under there trucks, and take the time to think about what the most extreme wheeling they wanted to do. Then go a step above what there needs are, you would find less problems and save money in the long run by doing it right with a bit of overkill the first time .
Sorry for the long winded reply

OASIS something...in the same building complex with SDHQ shop. McQueen and Elliot on the NW corner.
I paid $80 out the door. Very nice guys and SDHQ sends all the trucks they work on to them also.

Do you want the OEM UCAs? Sure, still shiny black. Mall parking lot is a tough place but I manage.
I have no idea of price.

Have no idea of the FOX price off the PRO. I have 4933 miles on taco now and plan to drive to MN starting this weekend and maybe to CO on the way back.
    - OEM leaf springs called for and promised to another member.
    - OEM UCA asked for and may be gone.
    I have:
    - rear FOX shocks
    - front FOX coilovers
    - OEM air intake (less lower box I have installed TRD CAI)
    - L&R mirrors (glass only) with fish eye stuck on them
