Man the back of the truck was pretty messed up, like he was rear ended so i dont know why you need to cover that up. Maybe stolen??? There were no licence plates...

So when are you going to quit bullshitting and come out to one of these meets? Weather is starting to turn nice so you can not use that excuse.

How did you guys learn/pick up on all of this?

Let's assume I know nothing about working on vehicles of any kind (it's safer for everyone that way). Other than a trade school or being raised around it, what's the best way to learn the ins-and-outs?

My gramps opened a diesel garage in Iowa after WWII, my dad never had any interest in it/went to college for business management, and I ended up growing up around the construction business that my dad owned/operated for 35 years (that he started in grad school). We are self made men as many generations back as I can remember, and I take pride in earning my skills and knowledge.

Long story short, I've always wanted to work on my own vehicles but never had the know-how. I'm not looking for a "quick fix", but rather the most effective ways you guys obtained the knowledge and skill you have today. I'm math/science oriented, good with my hands, and a stickler for detail. Any helpful tips are much appreciated!

I bought my Tacoma to learn and spend time with it.

I could build a bad ass wooden bumper, but that doesn't do anyone any good :anonymous:

    I was waiting for this.

I guess it helps having a driveway and the necessary tools/funding, too. Not saying you do or don't, just saying we barely scrape by in our current situation
